Tareq & Michaele Salahi gained "famed" 1st by crashing the a White House state dinner party. It was a scandal that was news for weeks around the world, mostly here though. Then they parlayed their "fame" into a reality show by joining the poorly rated Real Housewives of Washington D.C. Now they are back int he news for yet another scandal. Tareq has decided to divorce his wife of 8 years after she ran off with the Journey guitarist Neal Schon earlier this week. Tareq called the FBI after he thought his wife was abducted, but it turns out she was traveling with the band. Interesting fact, Michaele dated Neal years ago. Tareq is citing adultery and abandonment as the reason for the divorce. He said in a statement, "Due to the abandonment of the marriage and adultery by Michaele, I have suffered both emotional and physical harm. Over the objections of me, she continually exposes our friends and acquaintances to her adulterous relationship and has flaunted the same throughout the community, the nation and indeed the world, and thus caused me to suffer great harm, humiliation, and embarrassment." No one knows if this is real or Memorex. This couple loves attention and they live by the any press is good press rule of life. Tareq has been seen with Michael Lohan lately, apparently Lohan is helping him get through this. Also there is a rumored sex tape featuring Michaele and Neal, I hope not. Tareq is having financial problems, and I do think that aided in Michaels's decision to leave him, she really loves the high life. As I mentioned the show they were on was cancelled after 1 season, the only failed Housewives show so far, but Bravo used this latest Salahi hoopla as a reason to run a marathon of the failed show... Possible spin off maybe? A reason to shoot a season 2? I really hope not. Though I do not know if this is real or for show I am giving them a Digit Up for the out of nowhere entertainment.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are making progress in their divorce. Arnold acknowledged that he made a mistake when filing his divorce papers by denying Maria spousal support and paying for her legal fees. What happened? Arnold's lawyer checked the boxes that are normally filled out for such high-profile divorces, though he forgot that Arnold was the reason for the divorce... Now that those issues are put aside the two can focus on arranging joint custody of 13 year old Christopher and 17 year old Patrick. I do hope that this all ends well and the two can remain friendly, if not friends post divorce. I am giving Arnold a Digit Up.

Well some may find this hard to believe and most will not. Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony have decided to split, end their marriage, after 7 years of marriage. In a statement released by the couple they said, "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." This is Marc's 2nd marriage and Jennifer's 3rd. The couple have 3 year old twins as well. The two briefly dated in the 's but did not get serious until after Jennifer broke off her engagement with Ben Affleck and Marc and his ex wife divorced. From the start no one really thought they would last this long, as sad as that may sound. They did not seem to match but I personally though that the Puerto Rican connection might have kept them together. It is not clear why they have decided to split for sure, was there another woman, man, child, etc. Both of them are seeing good things happen in their career and that might have aided in their decision to split, less time together and whatnot. In time all of the details will be shared and maybe I will update it then. I am giving this news a Digit Down.

Christie Brinkley is starting to live like me. After he publicly humiliating divorce from her Peter Halsey Cook she has decided she is never getting married again. "I can now say unequivocally I would never get married again. There's absolutely no reason to. I learnt in my divorce that marriage is ridiculous. You take a vow but you don't get brownie points when you honor your vow and the other person doesn't." Can you blame her? Brinkley has been married four times, to artist Jean-François Allaux, Billy Joel, real estate developer Richard Taubman and most recently to architect Peter Halsey Cook. Unlike me though she is very nice adding, "I have to be careful in husbands. Unfortunately, I trust everybody. I just think everybody is great." Maybe it is because she is just a nice lady...or a lady period. Ohhhhh I went there. She also admits she named her 1998 perfume, Believe, after her relationship with her third husband, Richard Taubman. The former model says she named the perfume Believe "because I still believed in love." When asked if she had to name a perfume after her last relationship she said she would name it "Stinks". All in all I think she will probably get married again, i think that is just her way. Billy Ray Cyrus was on "The View" and he talked about his family, all good things. He said that he has called off the divorce from his wife Tish and that he and Miley are doing much better, so much so that they are pretty much back tot he way they were before "Hannah Montana". This is all good, though some have said that maybe it is still too soon. Miley was made at Billy for making harsh comments about how he "hated" what the show had done to his family. Miley got so mad that apparently she made him cancel his 1st appearance on "The View" earlier this year. I on the other hand think that things might be well, at least with Billy and Tish. Time has passed and I am sure whatever rift they had has healed. He and Miley on the other hand.... She is still young and very wealthy and has enough power to get her way in Hollywood. She has just started to give him trouble, and more will come. She is a young girl with emotions, even if she was not famous, she would still be giving him trouble on some level. I am giving Billy Ray Cyrus a Digit Up for coming out and acknowledging his vaults and admitting his mistakes. Even if he might have sugarcoated something, I am sure he did them to protect his family.

Billy Ray Cyrus is upset. He is upset with the show "Hannah Montana" for ruining his family and with the people hanging around his daughter Miley Cyrus. In the latest GQ he said, "I'll tell you right now -- the damn show destroyed my family. And I sit there and I go, 'Yeah, you know what? Some gave all.' It is my motto, and guess what? I have to eat that one. I some gave-all'd it all right. I some-gave all'd it while everybody else was going to the bank. It's all sad." Billy and his wife Tish are going through a divorce right now and of course we all know about Miley's past incidents. "I'm scared for her. She's got a lot of people around her that's putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she's 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I'd like to try to help. At least get her out of danger. I want to get her sheltered from the storm. Stop the insanity just for a minute." He says he regrets being a friend to her more so than a parent. This is very common for most showbiz parents, especially when the kid is making millions...hundreds of millions and supporting their family. Billy had a hit int he 90's, but Miley is making more than her ever did. It is very convenient for him to complain now, now that the show is over and Miley is 18 and he can no longer control her or her money. I am sure he does truly worry about her, as most parents would their child, but it may be too little too late, she is 18 in Hollywood and a celebrity, so really she is 35. He went on to compare his daughter to others who he saw about to crash, "... Like Anna Nicole Smith -- you could see that train wreck coming. I was actually trying to reach out to Anna Nicole Smith, because I kept telling Tish and everybody around me, going, 'This is a disaster.' Michael Jackson -- I was trying to reach out to Michael Jackson. I knew he had kids, and I was going to invite his kids down to a taping of "Hannah" -- I just felt it would be good for Michael." He end the interview with this shocking statement, ""For the record, to set it straight, I want to tell you: I've never made a dime off Miley. You got a lot of people have made percentages off of her. I'm proud to say to this day I've never made one commissioned dollar, or dime, off of my daughter." This may be technically true, but if you count the house that was bought, probably with her money, in L.A. and all of the other things that were bought for the "family" with her money, I ma sure it would add up to a hefty percentage. I am not going to dismiss everything he is saying. In the next few months or years we will see how serous he really is about wanting to help his daughter. For now though I am just finding this too convenient for him with all of the show bashing, the show that also helped revive his career, and calling out his daughter Michael Lohan style. Digit Down.

Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen will be officially divorced on May 2nd of this year. In California divorces become official 6 months after they are filed. Anyway.. She will get $55,000 in child support, the same as Charlie's other ex Denise Richards. In their divorce papers it says that her support can never be less than that of Richards'. She will not get spousal support, she passed on it, instead she will receive $757,698.70 in cash and $1 million for their home valued at $6.4 million, that Charlie will be keeping. She gets to keep the Mercedes, their home in the Los Angeles neighborhood Los Feliz and $45,000 in moving expenses. Charlie gets their Four Seasons Club timeshare, but she has permission to use one week out of each year. This all seems fair, but I think she could have come away with SO much more, SO much more. The child support will add up to, if it stays current, $11,220,000 million by the time they are 18, that is major money. The cash she gets will be gone in a year or so, the car will be gone in that same time and the $1 million will not last in L.A. that long. I feel as if she could have gotten maybe 2 years of alimony at a rate of many $50-$75,000 a month. That would have helped her out a little. I assume that she will sell her story and do many interviews about her life with Charlie, who knows. I am still giving her a Digit Down because she got the short end of this divorce stick if you ask me.

...Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz

Ashlee Simpson, sister of Jessica Simpson of course, has decided to end her marriage of a little over 2 years with rocker Pete Wentz. In a joint statement they said, "After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority." Ashlee is seeking physical custody of their 2 year old son. I have no clue why they broke up, or why they got married. It seemed a if it would have worked, but I assume they just got tired of each other. Still I will give the news a Digit Down. Ashlee now has to go to her sister's wedding without a date..maybe.

Camille Grammer...this chick. I am going to be honest, as always. I think I would have felt sorry for Camille and I would have been on her side of this whole divorce thing until I saw her on "the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She speaks of herself as if she is the reason Kelsey Grammer is successful. She thinks she is better than the other women on the show, even if she has not directly said it, and she assumes every woman is jealous of her, chick please! As you may know Kelsey is divorcing Camille after 13 years of marriage. Sadly, for him, he does not have a pre-nup sot hat means his estimated $120 million net worth is up for grabs, at least half. Camille already rejected a $30 million offer because it did not cover child support or alimony. I am shocked she was offered that much. She claims to of have kept Kelsey sober, doubt it. She has 2 kids with him, but she also has 4 nannies and housekeepers, so it is not like she does anything at all. She is/was a trophy wife, and she lived a trophy wife's life. Now the money train is ending and she should get used to it. We all know that she is really just upset that Kelsy left her for a 29 year old and he is already set to marry her. Kelsey has also ordered Camille to stay away from his money. Kelsey want sot marry his new love in January so this must end soon. Will she get the $50 million? Possibly. Does she deserve it? Jim Carrey is in trouble and has some explaining to do... He is being blamed for breaking up his daughter's marriage of only one year. A source close to the couple had this to say,

Jim has suffered from depression for a long time and I am sure that the break-up,even if it was mutual, still hurt him and instead of sinking into depression he probably poured his time into his daughter and grandson. Months ago I was confused over whether or not U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan was divorced or not. Well my confusion has been set straight. He officially filed for Divorce Tuesday. I will assume he is a little pissed that his soon to be ex Bianca Kajlich did not take him back because he is asking for spousal support and that his attorney fees be paid. Although they have been separated since October 31st 2009, Halloween, Landon seemed as if he really wanted things to work out. I am not totally sure how much Bianca earns, but I do not think she will have to pay Landon anything, at most just his attorney fees, if that. I am giving him a Digit Down for asking for spousal support. I understand he is hurt and probably a little embarrassed, but you get over it and move on.

...Break ups and Divorces

Three relationships in three days. We have three multi-year relationships ending in three days, it must be the new thing to do.
Elizabeth Hurley, who I find super beautiful to the point where I still consider her the most beautiful woman in the world, is leaving her husband of 3 years. She tweeted this on Sunday, "Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this." Rumor has it that she cheated on her husband, Arun Nayar, with cricketer Shane Warne. Shame. But that is only the tip of the iceberg for Hurley. The Daily Mail claims that Hurley’s net worth is in excess of $20 million, with all those assets located in England. While Arun Nayar has been reported as exceptionally wealthy, the British publication claims that his worth may be “dependent on future inheritance”. The publication adds that he has “no known assets” in England. When asked for analysis, a British divorce attorney told the publication that, if the above is true, Arun Nayar under the law might be entitled to a home if the couple divorce, a residence to maintain the standard of living during the couple’s marriage.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have called it quits after 4 years together. The 2 were just in Hawaii living it up and now it is over. Of course you may know that they met on the set of High School Musical. I thought it was a publicity stunt, like when Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift dated for their movie, which bombed. But these guys made it last for a long time, by young people's and most people's standards. Apparently they are still going to try to be friend, that will not last long. I cannot wait to see who they date next. I lied I can wait, they do not matter much really.

Finally today's news came as a bit of a surprise. The 2 sexiest people, in their gender category according to some magazines that I do not read, are getting a divorce after 2 years of marriage. Who am I talking about? Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds of course! a rep said this, "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated." Standard issue response. Apparently Johansson did not like the fact that they were apart all of the time, it was making her unhappy. Young Hollywood, poor chick. You have to work to pay the bills and afford the thrills! I understand wanting tot spend time together but you can easily work this out. Make time, fly and be with each other. This is a lame excuse if you ask me, but if it works for her then eh.

Anyway I am giving all of this news a Digit Down. While writing this, I got over all of it. I am okay with all of these splits, as if I was not from the start.

...Reconciliation

The parents of two of the music world's biggest stars are getting back together y'all! Britney Spears and Beyonce's parents are reconciling, for now.

Lynn and Jamie Spears are reconciling 8 years after their divorce in 2002. They have been spotted together in Los Angeles several times looking rather cozy. Friends of the pair say that they are not remarried, but they are happy and getting to know one another again. Maybe their daughter's crazy and then saner stages helped bring them back together, awwww.

On the other side of the charts it seems as if Beyonce's parents are calling off their divorce. Mathew and Tina Knowles missed their court date for their divorce in Texas so the judge dismissed the case. This could be a sign that they are getting back together. I am sure at least 1 of them could have shown up or at least a lawyer. They have been married for 30 years, but Mathew cheated on Tina with a much younger woman and got her pregnant, Beyonce now has a little brother I am sure she will never meet unless he becomes some sort of entertainer.

I would like to think that both couples are just realizing how much they missed each other and are back together out of love. The truth is they are both old and no one is going to want them for them. They are country people and others will use them for their fortune and fame and try to claim it as their own, an that is even before they meet their children. Also Christmas is coming up and it is starting to get cold and no one wants to sleep alone when it is cold, and extra gifts are nice as well. Wither way I am giving these reconciliations a Digit Up.

..Divorce?

It seems like today everything was just divorce divorce divorce! Let us look at them all.

-The Minnesota Vikings let Randy Moss go today after he failed to live up to their expectations. I do believe that 2 things helped them make up their mind. Yesterday he was thrown a ball that fell about 3 yards in font of him, but he had already started slowing down and he could have easily made that catch and ran it in for a touchdown. After the game he gave a very direct speech to the press about how he would no longer take questions from them and how he would ask and answer his own questions. Today the Vikings just said "eh" and let him go.

-Courteny Cox said she was NOT getting a divorce. Well she said this actually, I don't know what will happen, but this is not like we're getting divorced. This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage . . . Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us." So I guess that even after David admitted to having sex with other women during their separation, she is willing to stay with him... I just hope it is not for this child, that never works. They were spotted out together and they seemed very cozy so they may get back together. This again would be another blow for her single friends Jennifer Aniston, shame.

- Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash decided NOT to divorce his wife of 9 years. He filled for divorce 2 months ago but somehow now he is changing his mind. I think that this is very good since he credits his wife for helping him settle down and get rid of all of his "hardcore" habits and whatnot.

-Finally we have Mister Sheen, Charlie Sheen. He is deciding to divorce her, HE IS DIVORCING HER! After last Christmas' domestic abuse in Colorado and after his hotel drug fueled romp with a porn star less than a week ago, Sheen is calling it off with his 3rd wife. In the papers filed Monday he stated that he and his wife have been separated since Christmas 2009 and that there was a prenup involved. This is no shock or surprise to anyone at all, not even Charlie or his Wife, at the moment. He will have about 3 more wives before he dies and the last one will get everything, lucky gal.

Basically divorce is the word. I was told the a lot of people liek to break up beofre birthdays and the holidays so if you are lookign for a good time to do so, give it a go nw. I am giving this news a Digit Up because everythign is working out just well.

...Miley Cyrus

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are getting a divorce after 17 years of marriage and 5 kids. Of course they are the parents of the oddly famous Miley Cyrus. This could possibly be the best news for Miley and her career. Think about it... She now will probably get more attention because of it and more people will buy her albums and merchandise. Also she has been wanting to break out of the shadow of the Disney Network and Hannah Montana so now she will have a legitimate reason to be a "bad girl". She can say she comes from a broken home, somewhat true, and she can be bad and angry and upset and hold it in and let it out on stage and in her music, wonderful. Billy and Tish really will be fine, they are both attractive for their age and they have money and can easily get another mate. I thin they should stay together. Maybe Billy wants more, more money, more women, more fame or maybe Tish does, who knows and who cares. All I know is that Miley will get he most press out of it all and it will help her out in the long run. Digit Up to Miley.

...Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox and David Arquette have decided to get a divorce after 11 years of marriage. The couple released a rather lengthy statement, "We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together. We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well." I was saddened by this news, I thought they were going to make it. Then this burst of happiness exploded inside of me. Think of all of the fun stories we will be reading about when Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox go to the clubs and hang out and start living the real Cougar Town life! Can you imagine that? This is going to be perfect. Of course this may not happen for a year or so but when it happens I will be there. So really when you think about it there are 2 winners, Us and Jennifer Aniston. I am going to give this a Digit Down because divorce is not cool, but I am going to be secretly giving it a Digit Up in my head.

...George Lopez

George Lopez is divorcing his wife Ann after 17 years of marriage. Honestly this is no surprise. There have been multiple reports for years of George cheating on his wife with numerous prostitutes. A rep for George had this to say, "George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17-year marriage. The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement. They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation." It is said that they have been negotiating the terms of the divorce for a while. Things are tricky because George has his own show, his 2nd one now, and his wife gave him 1 of her kidneys when both of his failed due to a genetic condition in 2005. I am sure there was no pre-nup seeing as they got married in 1993 before he was famous. How much will she get and what will he be left with is unknown, but it is not looking good for him. I am sure she will write a book and end up on Oprah somehow for it. George and his wife probably would have been divorced a few years ago if it were not for the kidney. I am giving George a Digit Down because I truly do believe he cheated on his wife more than once with hookers and whores. Shame on you.

...Fred Armisen and Elisabeth Moss

I love Fred Armisen on Saturday Night Live, so it was odd to hear that he and his wife Elisabeth Moss of Mad Men were getting a divorce after less than a year of marriage. In fact they have been separated since June. The reason for the divorce, some say, is the fact that her religion means more to her than her marriage. Elisabeth is a Scientologist and it seems that Fred could not go along with it. Apparently though he has moved on and she has moved on and both are okay with it. He moved on to his co-star Abby Elliot. Fred must like them young because although he is 45, his soon to be ex-wife is 28 and his current fling is 23. I do not see anything wrong with the divorce, it happens, and although Scientology is seen as strange to some, it is a religion and I will not criticize someone else's beliefs. I would however like to say that they should have thought this out before they got married! Pre-marital counseling anyone? I have no clue why they did not think to talk about these types of issues extensively before they got married, but they did not and now they are getting divorced. I am giving them a Digit Down for not planning ahead properly and communicating before they got married.

...Divorce

In America over 50% of marriages end in divorce, that is a conservative estimate also. Where one ends another begins. Today the papers were signed and sealed and will probably never be seen by the public ever. I am talking about the Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren divorce. They were married in 2004 and now it is over. Of course we all know about the November morning car crash that started this all, well it started it all for us. Tiger allegedly had multiple affairs with up to 19 women. No one knows the final details of the divorce because Elin swore not to say a word, that is in the divorce somewhere. Some report that she could get up to $750 million, which is NOT true, at least I doubt it is, it just would not make sense. Some say it would be more like $100 million, which sounds about right. They will share custody of their 2 children ages 3 and 1, and the rest will be seen. I am sure they are both sad that it had to come to this but now that it is over I guess they are happy to start their new lives. Elin can do whatever she wants now, and Tiger can do whomever he wants and not feel guilty about it. Maybe his golf game will get better, it should.

Now with one divorce over another has just started. After 60 years of marriage, the couple that people thought were already divorced are finally getting one. Joe and Katherine Jackson have decided to end their marriage...WHY? They separated 5 years ago, living in different homes and living different lives. She is 80 and he is 81, not many people are going to be knocking at either of their doors asking for a date, but I doubt that is why this is happening. Katherine did not want to file because of her religious beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness, but after the death of their son Michael Jackson Joe blamed Katherine for his death, that was the last straw. If you have read anything about the Jacksons then you know all about Joe Jackson and his past with the children and his wife. Most people already thought they were divorced. I remember during the Michael Jackson death and funeral coverage many reporters were shocked to find out hat they were still married. But now it is coming to an end. I guess this just shows that you are never too old to do anything. I am giving this all a Digit Up. I would usually give this news a Digit Down but in these 2 cases I think they all would do better not being with each other, although Joe and Katherine only had to stay with each other for a few more years and then...well you know...death is coming soon for one of them.
