...Derek Jeter & Minka Kelly

Yeah...it is a slow news day, minus the hurricane that may or may not hit the North East hard. I am from Florida so a hurricane is just a reason not to go to school or work to me. Back to Jeter and Kelly. They have split up after 3 years together. According to People Magazine they care about each other and they are still friends. I am not sure why they split up, but maybe it has something to do with her new show, that will eventually get cancelled just not as fat as I want it to...maybe. I notice that though Jeter dates famous and semi-famous women he prefers that they stay out of the limelight. Before Minka was cast for the high profile "Charlie's Angels" remake, she was on a barely there show "Friday Night Lights", which meant that she could pretty much be by his side a lot. They may or may not get back together. He is getting closer to 40 and retirement so he needs to choose someone to settle down with soon, if he chooses to, and she has no pressure on her to settle down anytime soon. I guess I will give this news a Digit Down because I thought they would be getting married sometime soon, oh well.

...Jesse James & Kat Von D

Jesse James and Kat Von D have called it quits. Their engagement is off... Why? The distance was just too much. That sounds a little like bull crap, but it could be true. Kat Tweeted, "I am no longer w Jesse. "And out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that." Jesse told People Magazine, "I'm so sad because I really love her. The distance between us was just too much." At first I was a little sceptical about this, but then I thought about him and this situation and the one he had with his former wife Sandra Bullock. Despite the fact that he looks like a rough motorcycle gang member Jesse is pretty traditional. He wants a traditional man and wife marriage. He accepts the fact that the wife works, but he does not want her work coming before him or their home/family life. You may find that hard to believe but look at how he and Sandra started, and look at how they ended. He cheated o her while she was shooting movies, mostly, and she did have a very busy year the last year they were together. Kat lives and shoots in Los Angeles, and Jesse left the Los Angeles area over a year ago to be closer to his kids, and some would say Sandra, in Austin, Texas. I do see these two getting back together so that is why I am giving this a Digit Up.

...Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari started dating Fall of last year. This April he asked her to marry him and she excepted. They never seemed to match and he seemed like he could care less about her lifestyle. Well now it has been reported that they will not be getting married after all. Jay Cutler has called off the wedding just weeks before their wedding. Why? Who knows just yet. Like most people when I found out they were dating I thought, "He is not good looking, but he has money." I will still assume she was marrying him for money, mainly. He was marrying her because she is the "hot chick", though she sounds very annoying to me. He is a Basset Hound and she is a feisty Chihuahua, if they were to get married it would have ended in an expensive divorce...for him. According to a source close to Kristin, "She got dumped. She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening. "She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location, everything was set. She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way." I guess I should be a little empathetic and show sympathy towards her right not, but I cannot. This has nothing to do with her roles on Laguna Beach or The Hills, that was all an act and she was young and dumb...er then. I just do not care. He has a football image to repair after basically giving up in the NFC Championship game last season and he has to get ready ASAP for the new season, whenever the lockout ends. I am giving this a Digit Up because anyway you slice it, it was going to end with the two of them separating somehow.

...Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony

Well some may find this hard to believe and most will not. Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony have decided to split, end their marriage, after 7 years of marriage. In a statement released by the couple they said, "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." This is Marc's 2nd marriage and Jennifer's 3rd. The couple have 3 year old twins as well. The two briefly dated in the 's but did not get serious until after Jennifer broke off her engagement with Ben Affleck and Marc and his ex wife divorced. From the start no one really thought they would last this long, as sad as that may sound. They did not seem to match but I personally though that the Puerto Rican connection might have kept them together. It is not clear why they have decided to split for sure, was there another woman, man, child, etc. Both of them are seeing good things happen in their career and that might have aided in their decision to split, less time together and whatnot. In time all of the details will be shared and maybe I will update it then. I am giving this news a Digit Down.

Today it was announced that Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris will not be getting married this weekend...or at all. Over the weekend the couple had an argument and apparently Crystal had a change of heart and moved out of the Playboy Mansion. Crystal's rep. said, "The breakup was amicable. Crystal will now be focusing on her music career and her new single 'Club Queen,' which was released today." Way to plug the song guy. Before the announcement was made public Crystal Tweeted this, "There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting." Hint hint hint. I wonder if that was aimed at him or at her possibly dating Sr. Phil's son... I am sure that Holly is secretly happy about this. We all know how much she loved Hef, real or fake, and how badly she wanted to marry him, I am sure she still wants to no matter how much she pretends to have moved on from it. She was never fully into the idea of Hef marrying someone else, especially not Crystal. This is a good day for her. I think she and Hef should get back together, get engaged and start a new reality show on E! about it. Would you watch? I would, it beats a Kardashian anything any day. Digit Up to Holly.

...Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver

Sad news: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are separating after 25 years of marriage. This came out of left field, but so so did Al and Tipper Gore's marriage. They released this statement, "This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship. We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public." April 26th was their 25th wedding anniversary but neither mentioned it on their Twitter or Facebook pages. I am sure their 4 children are going to take it very hard, Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. I am not sure if they will get a divorce though, if they do I can see Arnold moving on to a much younger woman and Maria focusing on her children and career... I do hope they get back together though because I liked them together. Also I think they may get back together because after 7 years as Governor of California and moving back home full time of course there is going to be a time of transition to remember what it is like to have the person around you in your space all of the time again. Also they are so used to being apart that if her does get back into acting then it will feel normal again. I am sure there is more to this story so we will have to Wait an see what happens next. ...Break ups and Divorces

Three relationships in three days. We have three multi-year relationships ending in three days, it must be the new thing to do.
Elizabeth Hurley, who I find super beautiful to the point where I still consider her the most beautiful woman in the world, is leaving her husband of 3 years. She tweeted this on Sunday, "Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this." Rumor has it that she cheated on her husband, Arun Nayar, with cricketer Shane Warne. Shame. But that is only the tip of the iceberg for Hurley. The Daily Mail claims that Hurley’s net worth is in excess of $20 million, with all those assets located in England. While Arun Nayar has been reported as exceptionally wealthy, the British publication claims that his worth may be “dependent on future inheritance”. The publication adds that he has “no known assets” in England. When asked for analysis, a British divorce attorney told the publication that, if the above is true, Arun Nayar under the law might be entitled to a home if the couple divorce, a residence to maintain the standard of living during the couple’s marriage.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have called it quits after 4 years together. The 2 were just in Hawaii living it up and now it is over. Of course you may know that they met on the set of High School Musical. I thought it was a publicity stunt, like when Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift dated for their movie, which bombed. But these guys made it last for a long time, by young people's and most people's standards. Apparently they are still going to try to be friend, that will not last long. I cannot wait to see who they date next. I lied I can wait, they do not matter much really.

Finally today's news came as a bit of a surprise. The 2 sexiest people, in their gender category according to some magazines that I do not read, are getting a divorce after 2 years of marriage. Who am I talking about? Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds of course! a rep said this, "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated." Standard issue response. Apparently Johansson did not like the fact that they were apart all of the time, it was making her unhappy. Young Hollywood, poor chick. You have to work to pay the bills and afford the thrills! I understand wanting tot spend time together but you can easily work this out. Make time, fly and be with each other. This is a lame excuse if you ask me, but if it works for her then eh.

Anyway I am giving all of this news a Digit Down. While writing this, I got over all of it. I am okay with all of these splits, as if I was not from the start.

...Christina Aguilera

A day late and a dollar short...or just on time. Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman ave split up after 5 years of marriage. They are officially living apart and a divorce may happen in the future. A friend of the family said that over the last 6 months that they have become less like husband and wife and more like friends. I wonder what she means by that because your spouse is supposed to be your friend so what is the problem? I think people are totally losing the whole meaning of marriages and are looking for fairy tales and happy endings, bu this is life, real life, and marriages have rough patches that can last a day or two or up to a few years. I am giving this a Digit Down because it just does not make sense and they should just stick to it. Although if she does get divorced I hope she goes out and party and becomes relevant again.

...Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston

What the hey now! A month after professing their love for each other all over and through People Magazine, they are broken up. Apparently Bristol got mad not over the rumored baby he might have made with another woman, but with the fact that he said he was going to Los Angeles for some hunting show when he was really going to be apart of a music video making fun of her family. This is the 2nd time they have called off their engagement, but some are wondering if this is real. After their engagement last month the couple was out shopping around a reality show to studios about their life. Some are wondering if they are actually just going this to add more interest to their reality show. I think that this is a little too much too soon. I am sure they will be back together. Brett Favre flip flops less than these two. They are both young adults and they are continuing to make rash decisions. I do know that if this is true Sarah Palin is beyond happy, I bet she would hug and kiss every Democrat in Congress if this holds. I do hope that they are broken up, but I also do not care. I do not want to see them on magazine covers or on television unless they are doing legitimate acting. I am giving these two a Digit Down.
