...Matthew Scheidt

I was not going to comment on this but then I decided eh why not. Matthew Scheidt is 17 years old and he was arrested a couple of days ago for impersonating a physician's assistant at Osceola Regional Medical Center. Not only did he lie about that, he also lied about being a sheriff. Though he was only there for a week he performed CPR on a cardiac patient, removed an IV, accessed private charts and examined disrobed male patients. He might have stayed longer but he began seeking more access at the hospital, which raised a lot of red flags to other hospital employees. He now faces felony charges and depending on whether they charge him as a teen or an adult he can face 5 years of juvenile detention or 25 years in prison. Though what he did was wrong, no one was hurt. I would like to hear More from him to see what his motives were. Until then I am not looking down on him. In this economy maybe he just really wanted a job. Most jobs require some sort of experience, but even the entry level jobs seem to want some sort of experience, so how do you get this experience that they want you to have? Maybe he was lying to get in and move up without a degree and prove the system wrong. I doubt it but I like that slant. I am giving this kid a Digit Up. Though I do not condone what he did, I am not mad at him.

...Robert Cook

Robert "Bob'' Cook is a member of the Super Bowl Club, one of four men featured in a Visa commercial. These men have never missed a Super Bowl, all 44, they have been there, until now. Robert, age 79, is in the hospital and will not be attending the Super Bowl today. His wife would not say why he is in the Hospital, but she did say that he is depressed about not going. His tickets will go to his 2 daughters, and he will be watching on the TV. This sis sad. I hope this is not some sort of commercial curse, like the "Madden Curse", if so then the others could be next. I am giving this news a Digit Down.

...Zsa Zsa Gabor

I have semi-sad news to report. Zsa Zsa could not heal her right leg with antibiotics and doctors had to amputate it. She is now recovering. Doctors are optimistic that everything will go well. She is 93 years old and the last of the 3 famous Gabor sisters. As you know she has been in and out of the hospital since last July when she feel and broke her hip and received surgery. From swelling to blood clots throughout her body she has been in and out for everything. I do hope that she gets well, but her days seem to be numbered. But like I have said before, she is a tough lady. I thought she was going to die last year, but she proved me wrong, yay for that one. I do not know how much longer she will be able to pull through. She values her beauty and her life and I do not know if she would like to continue living this way. I am giving this news a Digit Down, of course.

...Zsa Zsa Gabor

Okay let me start with the good news, she is still alive. The bad news, she may have to have her leg amputated due to a deep lesion in her lower leg that has allowed gangrene to set in. She will be placed on very strong antibiotics for the next few days and if that does not work then she will lose her leg. Sadly, in a way, she does not know that she may lose her leg, no one has told her yet because they do not want to cause her anymore stress or a heart attack etc. She was told to check into the hospital before Christmas but she did not want to be in the hospital over the holidays. I am wondering how this happened? She may have lost millions due to the Madoff scheme, but she still has enough money to have nurses check on her. Hell besides that she has a husband and friends who could have seen that she was seriously injured! I am pointing my finger at them all, especially if she does lose her leg, which most likely will happen. On the other hand I could be wrong. We all, including her a little, thought she was going to die last month, but we were all wrong, yay us. I am giving this news a Digit Down. I am just not ready for her to go yet.

...Television

I love television, always have, probably always will. But lately I have noticed something that I should have noticed a long time ago, television shows are all the same, and by that I mean genre. Most television shows are drama, comedy, reality. That is OK, nothing wrong with that. But the problem is there is no real variety. Most dramatic television shows are all cops shows or medical shows. The new T.V. season is almost upon us and most of the new and returning shows are cop shows and medical shows, woohoo. Just to name a few there will be all of the Law and Orders, all of the CSI's, Hawaii Five-O, Gray's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Hawthorne and others, I do not really watch them so I cannot name a lot of them. I do not watch them because after the 1st few dozen times, you sort of always know what is going to happen. A big accident sends a ton of people to the E.R. and the doctors scramble to get to all of the victims. A body is found in the forest and no one saw who killed her. All of these events get solved within the hour, or sometimes if they need a ratings boost, 2 hours, that equals 2 weeks. I am over it. I need more variety, more originality. Hollywood is on a creative hiatus, and that is not cool. I am giving the television industry a Digit Down. Look out movies you are are next.

...Zsa Zsa Gabor

Zsa Zsa Gabor is expected to return home today. She fell off of her bad last month, trying to answer a phone, and broke her hip. She will be going home and she is expected to recuperate. While in the hospital she had a horrible reaction to morphine and was in critical condition for days. She was expected to leave the hospital yesterday, but I guess they decided to hold her 1 more day. I do hope that this is not her last stand, I need a few more years of Zsa Zsa, even if she is not the Zsa Zsa I grew up with. I credit Zsa Zsa with exposing me to the socialite lifestyle and high society, the upper crust, even before I knew what my parents did I knew Zsa Zsa was someone who was magical and she just oozed luxury and wealth. Everytime I see a picture of her or one of her sisters I instantly smile, on the inside. That face, timeless beauty. That memorable voice, she is an icon and a trendsetter. She is 93 years old and I know that her days are numbered but I just want maybe 3 more years, although I think she could possibly hang in for another 7. I am giving Zsa Zsa Gabor a Digit Up and I hope she has a speedy recovery.
