Microsoft confirmed that Monday March 14th it will be releasing it's much "improved" Internet Explorer 9. They have said that Internet Explorer 9 will be a massive overhaul for Microsoft's browser, bringing much-needed HTML5 support, speed improvements and hardware acceleration. I find this hard to believe. I jumped on the Internet Explorer 8 bandwagon late, super late, and it was by force. I could not play games or visit certain sites until I upgraded, so I finally did. At first it was great. I used the Yahoo version and I enjoyed it. Then I got a new computer and I guess Microsoft got pissed that the Yahoo version was running too well and I could no longer get that version anymore, so I had to get the regular version. It turned out to be crap, hardcore crap on a stick waving in my face. It is slow to close other tabs, it freezes often, very often, almost every time I want to close a tab. Do not even think about asking it to close a group of tabs, you just screwed yourself! But now I am supposed to believe that Internet Explorer 9 is the answer, the end all be all. This is false. s that are slightly better than the last thing, forces you to get them and then makes them crappy so that you are forced to get their next product that will be out in less than a year, I see where Steve Jobs learned his techniques from, though they all learned from Ford and Chevrolet. I am already going to give Internet Explorer 9 a Digit Down because I know it is going to suck and it is going to frustrate us all.
Oh no the new Kinect for the Microsoft Xbox is a racist spy! Who knew? The people at GameSpot noticed the it could not pick up the faces of darker skinned players, and since the Kinect is supposed to be able to detect players faces and off to the game they go, which worked with the lighter players...but not the darker ones. Microsoft responded by saying that you must play in a room full of light or else it will not work properly. GameSpot tried that out, but the same problems arose. Another thing that has players somewhat worried is that maybe they are being spied on. Microsoft said no way Jose. None of the information is sent back to them, only with your permission do they receive information if something went wrong...error. Still it does make 
you wonder how they could not spy on you. It is a camera, attached to an Xbox, which is attached to the Internet. I am sure if they wanted to they could totally peep i on you doing whatever you are doing. That would suck for a lot of teen boys who keep their Xboxes in their room, if you know what I mean. Any who all in all the product seems to be a hit, or a hit int he making and I am down for anything that gets people up and doing stuff rather than sitting and eating all day so I am giving Microsoft a Digit Up...until my computer messes up then back Down it goes.
With the highly anticipated movie coming out this Friday, The Social Network, and with the founder, Mark Zuckerberg, giving $100 million to the Newark school area last week on Oprah, a man who has an estimated net worth of $6.9 billion, a new question is being raised, how much is Facebook worth? A couple of years ago Mark's net worth was $1.5 billion and Microsoft estimated that Facebook was worth about $15 billion. Now that employees are selling shares of the company to others on the secondary market, it is estimated that the company may be worth up to $76 a share or $33 billion. This seems a little extreme to me, but it could be possible. Technically Mark Zuckrberg is paper rich, cash poor. The company does not have to go public until more than 500 people have shares of the company, that is what happened to Google, which is worth $529.76 a share. Eventually if not sold Facebook may go public. There is still a chance that a lot of very wealthy private investors and companies will continue to pour money into Facebook until they own mostly all of it. Since the company is not public they do not have to 
disclose finance records, so no one really knows how much it is worth, everything out is just estimates based on current activity. I could imagine this being one big bust in a few more years. I am giving Facebook a Digit Up because I love the mystery of it all and in the end "the Facebook" will win and Mark Zuckerberg will go home with more than a few pennies to rub together.
