...Oil

Well gas prices jumped 10 cents and oil is up about $10+. The turmoil in the Middle East is about to affect us. Libya has light sweet crude oil and for some reason American refineries like it a lot. While Libya only has 3% of the world's oil supply, oil prices have skyrocketed in just 2 days! If the trend continues oil prices should hit $100 a barrel today and if that holds then gas will be about $3.50 a gallon in 2 weeks. This is not what we need in America at all. Home prices are falling, labor talks and financial talks are falling. I see a double dip recession coming later this year and it may be worse than the 1st time because now we have oil producing countries caught up in their own drama. The thing is, we have to take it. We do not want to drill in America and electric and hybrid cars do not fulfill the needs of a lot of families at this moment in time. A grim darkness lies ahead of us. Take heed and prepare now. Save your extra dollars and learn how to budget and cut back on things. It may not be fun, be neither is panhandling. All of this because of OIL! Digit Down.

...20's

I am only two years into my 20's but is it too early for my 20's crisis? Apparently you have a mini mid-life crisis in your 20's that usually happens around 26. You figure out how to manage life after college or without your parents help or whatever and then you move on. I on the other hand am not worried about that, I am more so worried about my career, the career I have yet to start. Youth is valued around the world, and a lot in America, and by valued I mean young guns doing well before they turn 25, multi millionaires, self-made. Am I behind? Should I be farther? Am I jumping the gun or am I moving too slowly? I could blame the economy, but that is way too easy. A lot of people are still thriving despite this economy, they have great skills, true wealth, not paper wealth or paper skills, the stuff that help sank us int he first place. I refuse to be left behind. I will literally stop others from succeeding until I do! Any who things could be much worse, I could have no true direction at all. I will give my 20's a Digit Up, I see the silver lining.

...U.S. Child Births

I am not into kids, I do not plan on having an ever and I will medically make that possible if I have to. Apparently due to this "Great Recession" we are in many Americans are thinking the same. Child Births in America are at an all time low, its lowest level in at least a century according to the CDC. As many middle and low income families are struggling with job loss and little or no income, having a child just does not make sense. In the last 3 years birth rates have been steadily falling. Oddly enough Europe's birth rates are climbing and in America women over 40 have are seeing a higher birth rate, because they feel as if they are running out of time, which is true...Jennifer Aniston. This is nothing new though. During "The Great Depression" birth rates fell sharply and took over a decade to bounce back. I think that this should stick for a while. We do not need more children, we have too many older people around as it is and old plus young equals a lot of tax dollars for things that I cannot see but am told is very important. I do not think we have to limit it to say 1 or 2 kids per family, but I think that we should just maybe consider prolonging this halt on child birth until we sort things out and thin out our herd. I am giving this news a Digit Up.
