...Nicolas Cage

I you have not heard yet well here you go. Nicolas Cage has was arrested early Saturday morning for domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness. He was later released on an $11,000 bond. It seems that he was drunk and he was arguing in the street with his wife over whether a house they were in front of was theirs. The house was a rental which makes sense because I thought his old home was taken back by the bank and auctioned off, something like that. Apparently he grabbed her arm and that was enough to send him to jail.. I am sure there could be more to the story, but we will stick with that for now. I guess he was celebrating the sale of one of his many homes. He recently sold his Rhode Island home for $6.2 million, though he bought it for $15.9 million... It is better than nothing because when you are in debt and owe the government money, as he does, every little things helps. This is not a good thing for him, of course, and I wonder what will happen between he and his wife. I am going to give Nicolas Cage a Digit Down because he should be able to control himself and not act like one of his reckless characters in almost all of his movies.

...David Schubert

Who is David Schubert? Well he is the Las Vegas district attorney who prosecuted both Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars on charges of cocaine possession. No biggie right? WRONG! He was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, which is a felony in the state of Nevada. He was spotted by a police officer trying to buy cocaine form a street dealer. When he was arrested they not only found cocaine they also found a handgun and large amount of ammunition in his car. The guy who sold him the drugs is not in custody, however he did tell the police that Schubert has purchased $40 worth of crack cocaine from him two or three times a week for the past six or seven months. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Just to add to the sadness or hilarity or irony, Schubert is/was a member of the federal drug task force. His career is all but over, it is over. He has been suspended and is in the process of being terminated. I am going to kick this man while he is down and give him a Digit Down.

...Christina Aguilera

It seems as if the drinking has aught up to her again. The 1st time would be at the Super Bowl when she made the flub heard round the world. Next would be the possible trip and fall at the Grammys. But now she has gotten arrested or booked, whichever legally sounds best for you. She was the passenger in a car driven by her 25 year old boyfriend Matthew Rutler. He was arrested for DUI. The cops saw that she was intoxicated and could not take care of herself. They took her in for public intoxication. He was held on $30,000 bail. They were both released later. She will not be charged with the misdemeanor. Her height and weight was listed at 5'2" and 100 pounds, which could mean that only maybe 2 bears could push her over the legal limit, although with her recent drinking habits she may have built up a tolerance, who knows. While this could have been much much worse I think that this may be what she needs to straighted up and get help. Although I have a feeling that she may still go back out and try it all over again until something much worse happens. I guess she is melting down so that she could have a resurgence, a super comeback to boost those lagging album sales... She is a mother and while that does not mean she cannot have fun at all, especially being a Hollywood mom, she does need to realize that there are consequences that could not only affect her but her child. I am giving Christina Aguilera a Digit Down.

...John Galliano

If you are a fashion buff, as I am, then you know all about John Galliano and his beautiful work at Dior. That ends today. Dior has fired Galliano after he was reported, and then recorded, spewing hateful Anti-Semitic remarks at a posh bistro in Paris. He was arrested and he faces up to 5 years if convicted of the charges. After he was arrested "The Sun", a UK magazine, released video of him making hateful remarks at that same bistro earlier, I assume last year. Obviously in the video he is drunk, but that is no excuse at all. All who knows me know that I love a Jewish fella or ma'am. I find these remarks terrible and just nasty. There is rarely a good ending to anything that starts off, "I love Hitler..." I am glad that he was fired, maybe there will be a fresh new designer hired to replace him ASAP. I hope that Dior rebounds well, although part of me thinks that they had to of known he was harboring these feelings. Any who I am giving John Galliano 2 Digits Down.

...Willie Nelson

Well well well once again it seems as if legendary country singer Willie Nelson has been arrested for marijuana possession. He pulled his bus in at a checkpoint in Texas and the officers smelled marijuana. After searching the buss they found 6 ounces of marijuana on the bus. Willie claimed it as his and was arrested. He was later released after posting $2,500 in bail. This is not unusual. It was have almost been stranger if he did not have marijuana with him. He is a known advocate of the legalization of marijuana nationwide and he has a history with the drug. You almost just think, ''eh" and want to let him go. But the law is the law and I understand the arrest. I for one am not a fan of any illegal drug and would never approve of the legalization of marijuana, just for the record. In the end I have to give Willie Nelson a Digit Down for being 77 years old and still not willing to give up the dope. I guess you cannot teach an old dog new tricks...

...Bell, California

Bell, California has been in the news for months since it was reported this Summer that 8 of its city officials gave themselves outstanding salaries. Bell is a suburb South of Los Angeles and has about 40,000 residents. It is not a wealthy city, most the families average about $30,00 a year. When the residents found out that some of its officials gave themselves huge salaries they, along with America, became angry and upset. Robert Rizzo, a former city manager, was the most disliked when it was discovered he had a salary twice that of the President's at $800,000 a year! Former assistant city manager Angela Spaccia gave herself a salary of $376,288 while four others gave themselves nearly $100,000. Those arrested were: Former City Manager Robert Rizzo, Mayor Oscar Hernandez, former Councilman George Cole, former assistant city manager Angela Spaccia, Vice Mayor Teresa Jacobo, council members George Mirabal and Luis Artiga and former council member Victor Bello. Someone who was not arrested was former Police Chief Randy Adams, who made $457,000 and was looked upon in the same way as the others in the resident's eyes. This is an example of a corrupt government or as Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley called it, "corruption steroids." They are making an example out of these people, and I could not be happier. I hope that this is just the start of things like this. No matter how big or small the city or town may be no one should steal from its people or the government, eventually you will get caught and once you mess with the government you cannot by your way out of it. I hope the money is repaid, as much of it as they can, because the city of Bell is not a wealthy city, 1 out of 6 residents live in poverty. It is very working class and the people living there right now are struggling with a lot of issues, even before this all came about. I am giving the city a Digit Up for making the proper move and I do hope that this is a warning shot seen and heard across this nation.

...T.I. and Tiny

Really? Newlyweds T.I. and Tiny were arrested in West Hollywood after a police officer smelled marijuana smoke from their Maybach. When the officer searched the vehicle he only found methamphetamines...ecstasy. What makes it worse is that T.I. was just released from jail earlier this year for weapons charges. After that he talked about how he was trying to change his life and become a better father and example for his children,. He also married his longtime girlfriend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle. This does not bode well for him. He is on probation so there is a chance he could go back to jail or prison or get a harsher probation. If he were to go back to jail or prison it would be deserved. He should have known that if Paris Hilton got pulled over for marijuana vapors then he could have, although the did not find that drug in the car. He must be smarter than this, or weak. Both of them are too old to still be doing something that they should have gotten out of their systems many years ago. The are legitimate parents to 5 children and T.I. has been there so I do not know why he would ever want to go back. I am giving both of them a Digit Down for being so stupid.

...Paris Hilton

My my my, what has she done. Earlier this Summer Paris Hilton was arrested in South Africa after a World Cup match for suspicion of possession of marijuana, but those charges were dropped. It was then I started to remember all of those past pictures of Hilton smoking what seemed to be marijuana. I shrugged it off and gave her the benefit of the doubt. But now as this latest news of Hilton comes out about her being arrested for suspicion of felony cocaine possession it seems as if something needs to be done. Friday night Hilton and boyfriend Cy Waits were arrested in Las Vegas after a motorcycle cop smelled marijuana vapors from the Escalade they were in. Hilton asked if they could go into the Wynn resort for privacy, a crowd had gathered. When she reached into her purse for lip balm a small bindle of cocaine fell out and she was then arrested ( her boyfriend was also arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs). Cocaine! Really Paris. I am not one to look past any type of drug abuse, but cocaine! Cocaine plus marijuana plus alcohol equals a lot of messed of life moment in the present and future. This would explain her thin figure. I am waiting for her to start having random nose bleeds, that would be the icing on the cake. I am a Paris Hilton fan, a big one, but this is not hot. It makes me wonder why a guy was trying to break into her house earlier this week. She lives in a guard gated Beverly Hills area, you cannot just sneak in. Was he looking for drugs or drug money? I am disappointed in Paris and so I must give he two Digits Down indefinitely.
