Apparently people really do want to go green. It is all over the place. Cars, homes, shopping bags, etc. Green green green. Sun Chips decided to make a bag that was biodegradable, truly a step in the right direction and using new technology for good. WRONG! People complained that the bags were too loud, way too loud.
So Frito-Lay, Sun Chip's parent company, decided to take the
bags off the shelf. Sales declined 11% over the year the bag was out so they said they decided to listen to their customers and return to their old packaging. ARE YOU SERIOUS! These people complain about landfills and pollution and green this and green that and recycling and when a company listens and gives you a product that was innovative and good you complain!!! Was it too hard to sneak a snack without waking up the whole house? If you wanted them so badly why not pour them out on a napkin! I cannot believe that the Frito-Lay company gave in. So what sales are down, you have a product that could have made a huge different. Now you will go back to fattening up people's gut and your wallet. You could have just come out with a softer sounding bag for the whiny people who will later complain about how plastics and aluminums do not break down and they are taking up too much space in our landfills. Boo Woo cares! I am upset with the customers and the company. Two Digits Down on this one.
